Carrie and Julie,
Prayers for comfort for you and your loved ones during this season of grief at the passing of your dear father, and of joy for his entry into his final home with our Savior.
Peace and Joy,

Re: Geography Guide times for boxes
Thanks Tiffini, Wow, I'm impressed, you have a lot on your hands! I wasn't able to read the books this summer and it is tough trying to keep up with it all now. In Unit 3 for the Babylonian clay map activity scheduled in the guide, is that activity idea 1A from Mapping the World? Is he supposed to j...

Re: Geography Guide times for boxes
Thank you ladies for sharing, your experiences are very helpful! I love the idea of taking the extra time to start each box right. I wasn’t able to do that our first two weeks but I will certainly try to do it this next week. He has a tendency to “shorten” things where he can, so your idea should he...

Geography Guide times for boxes
Hi Carrie, We are doing the Geography guide this year and my son is loving the books so far! Circumstances have dictated that I return to work as soon as possible and I need to figure out a more precise schedule than what we’re used to. I wondered if you have times for the boxes yet for the Geograph...

Re: New Math Recommendation: World Geography Guide
Hi Carrie, My son will soon be finishing M2MM for 8th grade and we will be finishing up DM 2B this summer. We have enjoyed Singapore, but we too found that there were "leaps" to be taken that sometimes made it more time consuming than it needed to be. I also had the same problem with my son not show...

Re: A Gal Chat about Scheduling
Julie, Your post is so timely. Even though I was super excited about everything we’ll be studying in M2MM this year I just was not excited to start…. SCHOOL. (The delayed shipping of M2MM was a blessing for me!) I have never been able to stick to a timed schedule so we have alternated between relaxe...

Re: What pen is best for notebooking?
I found it at Staples in a two pack for $5 and change I think. He just used it and it matched really well in the yellowish box he was writing in! My son is reluctant to switch to pen also. He wrote a couple entries in pen with no mistakes. Then he made one in some copywork so now he is even more rel...

Re: What pen is best for notebooking?
I may try to find the uniballs also. I did get some Pilot V5's and I like them because they have a thin line and don't smear, but one of the tips was bent when I took it out of the package so I'm afraid they may not be very sturdy. I did find some White Out in a buff color which I'm hoping will not ...

Re: What pen is best for notebooking?
I didn't know that about the liquid pencils either. I read somewhere that someone had left their notes written with the frixion pens in the car and the writing disappeared. I don't think I would want to take that chance with our precious notebooks! Thanks for your input ladies! Peace & Joy, Karen

What pen is best for notebooking?
Hi Ladies! We are excited to be using M2MM this year. My son has always used pencil for his notebooking but I thought maybe I would have him use pen this year. I am a little nervous about this as he erases a lot but the pencil is a little hard to read (over the years he has gone from pressing too ha...

Re: Guides taking much longer than Carrie and Julie's times
The other ladies have been much more helpful than I can be, but I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! We have done 3 guides so far, moving into MM2M, and we still do not get most of the boxes done in the "allotted" times. I have not really figured out all the reasons why yet and plan...
