Thanks Lynn! I'm ready to order and get organized for our year here.
Do you know how long each box should take?

Re: Is it enough?
We've never added a thing to HOD. My oldest is ready for high school in the fall, and I feel like my kids are doing great in academics. It's important to our family. :D You're good with it as is! Now I have to tell you that if I had been homeschooling my oldest in K, I would have wondered the same t...

Re: Need Math Help
Jessica, I know I can't answer all your questions, but we have been right there with you this year! Allison is 9, and she has done her share of crying during math this year. Maybe it's a 9-year-old girl thing? We were having an especially hard time a couple months ago (long division), and for the la...

Re: Just in time to get ready for school.....
Oh no! I was hoping it was someone else who could relate to your spunk and injury! Well, I think of you often when I'm out jumping with my kids. They were excited for me not to be pregnant or nursing anymore so that I can jump...because I give good super-bounces. Who would have thought ...

Ouch! I'm sorry. I have to say that I love your spunk though. My kids love it when Mom plays with them (and I have to say, I do too!). You're not the same one who broke something on a trampoline a couple years ago, are you?

Re: Who is doing MTMM?
Grant will be using MTMM this year for 8th grade. :) We have a little to finish up on Rev2Rev, so we're going to be doing that 1st. I'm guessing it will be mid-September when we start MTMM. I am in deep clean/organize mode here to get ready for school. If you're in my house, and you're not nailed do...

Re: LHFHG Singapore Math activities?
Carrie, Thanks for your hard work in getting these new math plans done! (In your free time, right??). :D. I'm another one wondering when the half- price exchange needs to be made. We've got a couple years before we need it, but I am looking forward to using it again with my little guys. :D Dusty, yo...

Looks great Lynn!! I'm bookmarking this for whenever I get around to organizing our school things. Which seems a long way off right now...but hopefully comes soon. I love starting a new school year!

Re: What order do you like to do the guides?
I start with whoever needs the most of my time. So, this past year, I started with Allison in Bigger. We did 45 min of work (with the 1-year-old coming upstairs with us and crawling/toddling around). During that time Grant was working on his own and Garret was unloading/loading the dishwasher with A...

Re: Grammar Placement
When we do a lesson, we start with the oral review. (There are 5 questions listed in the Teacher's Guide daily.) Then we read through the lesson. Then we do the oral part together. This brings us to the written portion for the day. I skim over those sections quickly. If one of the sections for the d...

Re: If you've used Preparing, please vote!
Grant was 9 the entire year we used Preparing...(so I couldn't really vote). Allison will also be 9 the entire year she uses Preparing this next year. My kids have late spring birthdays, so their age changes after we finish our school year.
