Re: Tell me I'm crazy..
I write in my guide--they aren't a disaster, but I don't worry about it either. I think it's there to be used. :) Two of my guides I completely cut up and destroyed by taking some things apart and rearranging some things to make it work for my two boys. I think that's what they are for--to make it w...

Re: Guide Placement for Dyslexic Son
HOD is a good place! I love it, and there are several of us on here that have the challenge of dyslexia, dysgraphia and other learning issues. We have all had to figure out ways to make it work and I have been encouraged by different ideas and testimonies. With the age of your son, I would do Prepar...

Re: Guide Placement for Dyslexic Son
Does he have trouble with writing=I mean the physical aspect of it? Is it mostly his reading that is slow or "behind"? Spelling? Are you planning on reading to him most things or having him do it? Are you still doing any OG remediation or is his finished with that? Some of those answers will help wi...

Re: Former dropout thinking about coming back to HOD
Preparing for your oldest two for sure! It's a great year, will be better for making sure it gets done and is plenty of work for both ages.

Re: RevtoRev maps-color?
lol Nealewill! I did the same thing! My husband can print color for free at his work also. He printed 2 copies each of teacher and student maps. Makes it pretty convenient.
The color is much nicer than the black and white.

RevtoRev maps-color?
Did you print them in color or black and white? What did you think? I'm trying to decide which one to do. Color for teacher and student in black and white?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RevtoRev Bible for High School
I'm going to combine my 7th grader and 9th grader in RevtoRev. The Bible study in Hebrews seems pretty young for a 15 yo. What would you suggest?

Re: church history in RevtoRev
I was hoping there wasn't. My daughter did RTR and then she went to a christian school this year and they are doing-----church history! I have to say, it was supposed to be a "Charlotte Mason" school--well.....talk about boring. It's nothing like HOD. And, for many reasons, her last day was ...

Re: Literature for High Schooler using Rev2Rev?
I"m sorry you didn't get replies either! It's been fairly quiet lately. I have no clue about the literature ideas. I'm glad to see others using the middle school guides for their high schoolers also. My daughter will be 15 next year and I'm having her do Rev to Rev with her 13 yo brother. I haven't ...

It is so helpful and encouraging to hear your story Julie! It's a long hard road with some of these things--there are a bunch of us struggling and when people share the struggles as well as the successes it helps to know that we are not alone.

That's a good plan Julie! I feel better--lol. For once this year we are moving steadily along and are going to complete a guide in a school year and we are on unit 23. It's helpful seeing your posts!
