Re: High School Chemistry
Thank you to all who have responded. After looking at the link for the beefed up Chemistry, it looks to me High School credit worthy, and I think we will go that route. I graduated from college with a Bachelors of Science without HS chemistry, and did just fine in college chemistry (I did have a str...

High School Chemistry
Hi all! I am wondering if there is any ideas out there to beef up the Science Add-On package in the MtM to make it High School Chemistry credit worthy? I am guessing this is possible as the High School guides are a fairly new thing, and there have been some, like myself, who have used the younger gu...

Re: WG Guide specific question
At first I thought that as well however my daughter pointed out that the red lines/dots were already pointing to those dates thus making it redundant....so I thought perhaps, given that and the size of the boxes there was more to it than that? I guess we were overthinking it. Thanks

Re: Creation to christ
Other than some basic supplies, I believe the only other thing you will need is a second copy of the DIHOR Student Book.

World Geography Planning Question
I am wondering if there is some official approximate time allotments for each of the boxes in the World Geography guide? I have 3 kids in 3 different guides this year, in addition to a toddler, and I feel like a combination air traffic controller/mad scientist  trying to come up with a reason...

Re: beefing up MMTM for High School??
I beefed up MtMM this year for my daughter and it worked out great! There is plenty there to meet HS standards imo. :D My daughter is an academic type and she is very challenged and there is enough for her to do with this guide to keep her busy for the hours required to earn the necessary credits. H...

Re: Vocabulary Woes
Hi Leah! I do not claim to be an expert at anything, but I will try to answer based on what has worked within my family. I wouldn't add in a workbook. They are often very dull and dry and can be a source of frustration because of that IMO. For my family, we have found the information makes better co...

Re: Placement help-Science
Julie, I'm so excited and at peace with this decision. I think it will be the best fit for my dd. Thank you so much for following up on my post! I just logged on to do that myself...but since you have done it for me, I will take this opportunity to thank you. I don't know of any other curriculum out...

Re: Placement help-Science
Julie, My thoughts... 1)Thank you so much for your input :) It is great to get another perspective and to have someone to knock things around with. 2)Somethings I failed to mention: (1)I purchased all of the science resources from the MTMM guide except the 2 lab kits (and I already owned the Tiner b...

Placement help-Science
I am needing some help figuring out the best science path for my dd and would love to hear from anyone with High School wisdom. Background: She is in 9th grade using the Mission to Marvels guide with extensions and added electives. We chose to do this particular guide because although we have used H...

Re: MTMM in High School
Thank you for your replies. Yes, I am talking about credits for her transcript. :) I guess what I am looking for is an "official" ruling on the credits. In the information in the catalog for the World Geography, for example, it spells out the credits for the different subjects very specifically. I h...
