Art Supplies for MTM?
Hi, I'm looking at ordering the art supplies for MTM. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what they have used. I'm living overseas so I'm thinking I'll either order them from Amazon or have someone in the states buy them for me and have them brought over. What did you use for the drawing pens? What ...

A Reason for Handwriting K or A?
I will be doing Little Hands with my 5 1/2 year old son this coming year. He is doing well in reading. He can read simple books and I'm thinking I'll have him start the Emerging readers in the next few months. He does not write much at all though. He can make most of the capitals (I'm not sure they ...

Thank you so much, Carrie, for taking the time to put this together. I've been coming here daily to find out some new news of the Geography guide, so I'm thrilled to see this. We actually won't be using this until the year following next, but I'm still very interested.

I'm so sorry to hear that. We use dry erase markers on tile floor, but not everyone will have that option. It works great.

Re: BHFHG Unit 15
Vickie, we must be in the same unit. That reference really had me stumped. I did a search on here and couldn't find anything to help me out, so I looked for a verse in Psalms that had something to do with trees or leaves. I never thought of looking in Proverbs.

Bigger
I really enjoyed looking at your blog. I have two children in Bigger and it looks like we are almost in the same unit. You inspire me to take more pictures.

Re: Midpoint Meeting Time Fun
Thanks for this encouraging post, Julie. I love how often their are such sweet posts on here, reminding me to focus on my children and make their school days special. We're traveling a lot right now, but I'd love to do this when we settle down.

Re: Just sharing our second DITHOR project.
Thanks ladies! So often I'm tempted to skip projects, but I'm always glad when we do them. I'm loving the fact that they can at least do part of DITHOR together.

Just sharing our second DITHOR project.
The three oldest boys just finished their second project with DITHOR. The first project was an interview. They interviewed their grandmother and really enjoyed it. This project was making a bar graph graphing the suspenseful moments of a book they had all read. I thought they did such a great job. S...

Re: Character Curriculum
Just wanted to add that HOD does an amazing job of working character into the program in seamless, applicable ways. I've been pleased over and over again with the unique way this curriculum weaves character qualities and godliness throughout the program. I've never felt the need to add anything in ...

Re: How fast should my son get through books?
We started Bigger recently, too, and are also doing DITHOR. I have three sons who love to read and for the most part I like to stick to the schedules in the guides and in DITHOR. However, we are only doing school three days a week right now and I thought that only having them read their DITHOR books...

Re: RTR questions
I really can't be much help here. My son just started RTR and is really enjoying it. He has only read about half of Forbidden Gates (the first book scheduled) and he loves it and can't wait to finish it. He was begging me today to go ahead and finish it ahead of schedule. I can't say anything about ...

We've been using Long Story Short for a few months, too. I really like it. It's appropriate for a lot of ages, goes through the Bible chronologically, and they point each story to Jesus.
We used Keys for Kids all the time when I was growing up.

Are you maybe talking about the book Snow Treasure? I'm looking forward to reading this to my boys. We've had it for years though, and I think some pages have fallen out. I'll have to get a new copy somewhere.
