customer service

Hello, I really love and appreciate all the help I have received whenever I have made a phone call or written in to ask questions or when ordering. However, my friend, who is considering using HOD, is unfortunately not having the same experience. She does not feel comfortable using the forum for pla...

Re: Retainers and Poetry, Oh My!

You gave me such a chuckle tonight! I feel like I was right there on the couch with you, laughing my toes off! Too funny. I love the that you all have such a great sense of humor and the ability to really laugh. It is is true about the bullying. So sad that many children are raised with a constant f...

Re: *Placement help for 6 kids, please?!

Hello & Welcome to the HOD board! Just wanted to quickly pop on to tell you I have lifted you up in prayer. Choosing can be so tough and after using several of the guides I know how much smoother things run when you have all of your children placed properly! The ideal seems like you might have 3 - L...

PE and Algebra

Hi, Just a quick question for those of you using the geo guide. Does anyone have a chart for PE log? Our state requires 2 years. Is there any chance one of the other high school guides will have a PE box to record activites? Also, I thought maybe there would be a page to guide us toward a goal for v...

Times Per Workbox

Bigger Hearts for His Glory Carrie wrote: Oh, Teresa! I'm not sure what's happening, but Bigger takes 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours to do including math, DITHR, dictation, everything! Adding part of the right side of Beyond will add a bit of time, but it shouldn't add much more than 45 min. total. Here are t...

Re: Help me not give up! NOT doing well

Rewards have worked really well at our house. It helps to keep everyone positive and it gives clear explanations of what is expected. We have dont a quarter for finishing the day without any problems for a season with certain children. That worked really nice! I know others are much more organized a...

hsftheart, I love everything we have done so far with Heart of Dakota & I am positive you will have a great time in Beyond too!! To answer your questions, none of my children wake too early. She isn't usually one to be too cranky though when you wake her. This is especially true if she can have some...

Any chance you could somehow upload the first week for us to see on the board?
:)

Kind of how people upload their schedules?

I understand if it is too much work, but it sure would be great to see!!

Just an idea...

Re: The ? Beyond or Bigger

Atwert, The answer for you is easy! Go on ahead with Bigger. ;-) If you have done everything in beyond, your son will do fine. :-) There is always the option to slow it down a lttle if you honestly think things arent going well after the first month of adjustment. So...go for it!! :-) Glperky, I thi...

Poems & Storytime are the best!!

We are about halfway through Beyond and enjoying it so much!! My daughter happens to be in the older age range for this guide, but it is working great because we are using Rod & Staff English, dictation and math at her level. I wasn't sure when we first began if Beyond could ever outshine Little Hea...

Re: LA for 1st grader

Maybe just start the spelling with him for now. Spelling and dictation continue on at their own pass all the way through the guides. Thats one option. What about adding extra copy work in for him. I had my daughter write the mwmory verse each week. Or theres always the option to do the right side if...
