Re: Beautiful Girlhood on its own?

Thank you Carrie. That is helpful. I would probably get your guide and then have it when we are at RTR level.:)

So then, would you do some of the girlhood again when they are actually doing RTR?

beyond LHFHG organization & dictation?

How does it look in your home? I'm mainly concerned with the organization part of it. I'm not a naturally organized person. In reading through the TM I see we will need a spot for spelling word/index cards, copywork, timeline. My dd will also being doing DITHOR 2/3. So should I just have a 3ring bin...

Using R&S level 2 grammer with Beyond?

I am planning to do Beyond LHFHG with my 8yog. She reads well so we will also be doing DITHOR. I had planned on doing the R&S level 2 grammer for her. In looking at the pdf I don't see the grammer listed as an option. I do see it in the Bigger pdf. I'm thinking it should be fine to just go at whatev...

How do *you* slow a level down?

I'm hoping to do Beyond with my 8yog and combine my soon-to-be 5yog and 6.5yob in LHFHG. I was thinking it might be good (for all of us for various reasons) to take LHFHG slowly for the younger two. I do not have the guide yet, but I think I understand how it works. I am wondering, if you have done ...

Re: several levels at once?

Thank you Edwena. My 8yo is a great reader and math is finally clicking for her! I have decided to get her going on BeyondLHFHG. Then I will get my next two going on LHFHG. I will probably include everyone at times in both levels just because that's usually how things go here at our house.;-) I look...

Re: several levels at once?

Thank you both! So I am getting the feeling that it really is just a matter of what works for our own family. There is no set way of doing it. LOL Now Just to feel sure enough to do it! That's a good point about taking more time to tweak than do an extra level as written. Knowing myself I would prob...

several levels at once?

I am really trying to wrap my mind around this. I have been trying so hard to figure out a way to combine my children. If I don't make this streamlined and efficient then I fear it won't get done at all. So by combining, my thinking is that we will get it done. It may not be perfect and exactly at e...

Re: Repeating levels?

Thank you Julie. So do you mean that even if we have already done RTR with a child or if we are planning to do RTR the next year with the child it would be good to have the RTR guide on hand as a reference when we do the Beautiful Girhood study? Sorry I'm so dense! LOL The way it would work out is a...

Beautiful Girlhood on its own?

Does anyone know if the beautiful girlhood study (and the one for boys) from the Resurrection level can be done on its own or added to a different level? I am wanting to combine my three older children keeping them in the same level each year. But I would like to do this particular study at a specif...

Re: Repeating levels?

Thank you Julie. That was very helpful. Yes, my oldest is an excellant reader. Her handwriting is lacking but not terribly. My 2nd oldest (and only boy) is just now learning to read. He struggles, whereas my oldest basically taught herself to read at 4yo. LOL My current 4yo is picking things up with...

Repeating levels?

Hi. I'm new here and looking into HOD for my family. My dc are 8yo, 6yo, 4yo, 2yo and newborn. I realize I can't plan the future perfectly but want to have a possible plan in place to aim for. I have mapped out how I could combine some of my children together doing various levels. Here's an example ...
