Re: The Secret Garden
Well - I think I found my answer - should have searched first - sounds like historical fiction?? If any of you used this book, can you let me know if this was the right fit, some of the posts put it in mystery (Carrie has it as Historical fiction). Let me know - Thanks! (Mystery and Non fiction are ...

The Secret Garden
Hi All My daughter wants to read The Secret Garden. This summer we are just doing DITHOR and some other reading from Bigger. What genre would Secret Garden fit in? Any ideas?? I didn't see it on the list anywhere. I know we could just read it to read it, but since we are starting a new genre next we...

Inquiring minds want to know :)
HI All We began Bigger a few weeks ago and are enjoying it. As I look through it though, I see that in the last weeks a tremendous amount of time is spent on the Wright Brothers and then it seems a lot of history is skipped with just a smattering here and there about the Vietnam war and some other t...

Re: Took The Plunge- Please Pray
Hi All Thank you SO MUCH for all the prayers, encouragement and wisdom. I feel quite a bit of peace already. I can't describe it, but its wonderful. :) I was actually at my sister-in-law's house today (whom I'd passed my catalog onto and suggested HOD to) and she got a huge box from HOD. I was able ...

Took The Plunge- Please Pray
Hi All Please pray for me....after much prayer, deliberation, discussion with wise counsel from my wonderful husband, I took the plunge and ordered Preparing. I'm very excited, and hesitant at the same time. I've been in this place too many times, thinking I have found what will work best for us and...

Re: Comparing HOD and MFW
One thing I'd like to add, that I noticed because I was wandering between the 2 myself (I liked the Geo/missions component), is that if you don't like some of the main books (such as in Science), its going to be hard to swap out because the subjects are integrated. In HOD, I can do my own science al...

Re: Bigger dictation
Please forgive my (likely) dense question.... So with the 101 sample Bigger is the most advanced for that year? 101) How much money do you have? I have ten dollars, five cents, and a dime. lime time honey I am still contemplating bigger for my rising 3rd grader, but the more I look, the more I think...

A first book in American History - version question
Hi All This probably sounds really cheap, but can one use a different version of Eggleston's book? I found it online for my Nook for free through Barnes and Nobel. The issue is its an older version - like 1889 (or the other says prior 1923) Not sure if there is a huge difference between this version...

ordering questions
Ok, So as I look at what to order....I have a few questions. If I am planning to order the basic, but want the extra readers then I would order the deluxe package too. Yes, or does one order EITHER the Basic OR the deluxe. (Please don't make me choose between all these great books!) Plus then ...
