Re: PLEASE just one more page!!
So far it seems that TRL really prepares them well for the emerging readers. I'm actually pretty surprised how well the transition has gone!

PLEASE just one more page!!
I heard this TWICE today during two different subjects! This is our first week with Beyond. We just finished Little Hearts, and I am loving the progression. My son isn't a huge fan of school, only because he'd rather be playing or watching TV or something other than sitting still, but I think it is ...

Re: LHFHG with Older Child & 2nd Thoughts on Placement
My son is 6.25 and Little Hearts has been perfect for him this year. We are flying through the K math and then will start Singapore 1A. He LOVES the Burgess books and activities. We are still doing phonics but will be adding in emerging readers soon. Beyond is quite a big step up, and we are just in...

I feel your pain! We are set for a PCS in a few months... and I think I might be bringing our books with us instead of packing them... just in case! Hopefully your stuff will arrive soon

Re: Military HOD Families
PrairieGirl: we were stationed in Minot for five years. Super cold but a really nice place to raise kids. We had a wonderful church family there. If you need any advice there, let me know!

Truly open and go.
Let me just say that I am NOT a crafty person at all. I actually cringe at the thought of them! My 3.5 yr old son, on the other hand, LIVES for them. We are currently on lesson 5 in LHTH, and I am ecstatic about how easy these crafts are and how they really do use stuff that you have at home. I have...

I was thinking this exact thing. The enemy is super unhappy with this God-glorifying curriculum that's blessing all our socks off!
Definitely praying with you all!

You girls are amazing! Thanks so much. This is such an opportunity we have to speak to our children's hearts. I am so blessed that these discussions are already happening in Pre-K!!!! Can't imagine what's to come!

What would you say?
We're on Unit 3 of LHTH. We were talking about how God told Abraham where to go and Abraham listened. My son said, "But I can't hear God. He doesn't talk to me. And I can't see him either." I had NO idea what to say. How do I explain to a 3-year-old how God speaks to him? I told him that God speaks ...

Re: When do most start LHTH?
I'm brand new to HOD. I will be starting LHTH with my just-turned 3-year-old son in January. I plan to do one lesson every two weeks (so three days one week and two days the next maybe) and supplement with lots of reading the other days (I have the Sonlight P3/4 books and BFIAR books). We will start...
