Re: BJU Literature
Thank you ladies for your replies! I was curious, Lynn, what novels you chose for your son. Did he enjoy them?

BJU Literature
My son will be doing MTMM for 9th grade, but will be doing Bob Jones 9th grade literature instead of the DIHOR program. I know that by itself BJU Lit. is worth 1/2 credit. In WG, HOD adds several books to BJU. My daughter did this last year and did great. She loves to read and is a fast reader. My s...

World Geography credits
I'm working out the credits for Geography portion of this curriculum. The guide says 1 credit for geography. It seems like a lot more hours are put into this category with the spine readings (A Book of Discovery, etc.), living library & geography activities. Have any of you decided to give an extra ...

Making MtMM Economics HS credit worthy
I looked through the previous posts on this issue, and I'm still confused. I have Penny Candy, Bluestocking Press Economics and Common Sense Business. I also have the Economics for Everybody DVD series. My question is do I need to use all of these for 1/2 of credit? Or is it an either/or option? Als...

Extensions in MMTM
I have been told that Carrie posted a discussion on how MMTM can be used for high school credit without including the extensions. I cannot find that thread anywhere. Can anyone help me?

Creative writing in high school
My daughter will be doing WH next year. She is interested in creative writing. Has anyone substituted a creative writing program for EIW in high school? We are thinking about The One Year Adventure Novel. It's a full English credit, so I would have to figure out how to adjust the HOD schedule.

Econ/Govt
I have a daughter that is finishing WG this year (our first year with HOD). She wants to participate in the duel-enrollment program (taking college classes which satisfy both college and high school credits) the year after next. This means that she will only have one more year of HOD. I would really...

World History (10th grade) Literature
It appears that the WH guide uses only books for Lit this year (as opposed to Bob Jones Lit). How are the elements/analysis of literature taught? Is there a separate guide that comes with each book?

World Geography - Rooted and Grounded
My daughter is overwhelmed with the amount of work in Rooted and Grounded. She is enjoying the reading but says the questions are too abstract. Also, the volume of work seems extensive. For example lesson 2 day 4 after the student has done the reading she is suppose to do 5 short paragraph answers j...

Dictation
I have a 14 year old daughter who will be starting WG this year. This will be our first year with HOD, and she has not done dictation in the past. She has a lot of difficulty with spelling. Any hints on how to work with that and dictation? Also, I thought about starting with the dictation Level 5 fr...

Optional assignments
I know I've read somewhere in the posts that some of the assignments are "optional" and not included in the credit calculations.
Can someone tell me which ones those are for WG and Rev-Rev
