Well, I am not too concerned academically ,I know he is doing pretty good except maybe the place value , I keep showing him with the abacus and base ten blocks and he doesn't get it. Mostly I am concerned that he does not comprehend books andI don't mean Amelia Bedelia only which I know it's tricky....

I use both CLE and Singapore and enjoy them both. Cle is the main program and Singapore a supplement . I strongly believe that each child needs a different math program , depending on his learning style . We are all created differently.
