We are enjoying Heart of Dakota, but my daughter is doing LHFHG for first grade and she is not really enjoying the Thorton Burgess books. She just kind of tunes me out when I read them. Does anyone have any suggestions of what we could do?

Thank you so much. I decided to go with LHFHG and use Beyond for the math exploration and maybe language arts. I am very excited. I think this is going to be a fun year! I will post an update once we get started.

My daughter is used to being read to from picture books and books with some pictures. We did read The Boxcar Children last year and she enjoyed that.
