question about The Exciting World of Creative Writing
I am wandering if there is a teachers guide? I may have "dreamed" that there was, but I really thought this whole time I had been checking my sons work with the teacher guide and now I cannot find one. I was not sure if we misplaced it or if there is not one included in the Rev to Rev pkg... and if ...

Re: setting up CtC-my3sons?
I know you asked for Julies help, but I thought I would try and give you a litlle :D ...I searched for a long time last year and came to the conclusion that no Julie had not gotten a chance to post pictures of getting ready for CTC. I did find where gotpeace91, or Leah, did post pictures and a descr...

Re: advice Using BHFHG for young 7 and old 9yo
I also just wanted to add (someone may have answered already?), that for Dithor the children read either to you or on their own, then do workbook exercises. The 2/3 guide has them read to you more than the 4/5 guide and so on. You do some instruction with them from the teacher guide then they read t...

Re: advice Using BHFHG for young 7 and old 9yo
Tina, First of all, welcome to HOD!! We absolutely love it and I am certain it will be a blessing to your family as well! I personally did Bigger hearts with a 7yo (2nd grader) and 9yo (4th grader), Both boys. We were just starting HOD and were going to be doing 3 guides if I had not combined these ...

Re: A Noble Experiment
Florence, We are about to start it, so we have not actually used it yet and will be interested to see what anyone else says...but this is what we are planning. I ordered the set from Christian books that came with the DVD's, the student work text and the teacher resource cd rom. From what I can tell...

Re: ? ordering Rev to Rev for highschool
Thank you all sooo much!! :D :D This is exactly what I was needing! I thought I remembered reading Carries response somewhere but was unable to find it myself... and I remember that when he did CTC he used both packages (so I was unsure). I was also thinking he has such a full day already and with t...

? ordering Rev to Rev for highschool
Hello Ladies, I am trying to get everything together to place our next order and was not certain about one thing... Does anyone know, if I am doing Rev to Rev with a highscool student should I order the Basic package as well as the extensions or should I just get the extensions? I looked through the...

Re: 2 in one guide at different units
Yes, I agree with Julie! I am sorry, you did mention that one child was in unit 23 in your first post.... so in that case I think Julie's idea is a good one. Maybe put it into 2 binders in page protectors, then it will be easy to put it back together for your next in line. I could also think of othe...

Re: 2 in one guide at different units
I think it is funny to come here and see your question! I was just thinking yesterday how PLEASED I was that i decided to go ahead and spend the extra money and get a 2nd guide this year for CTC. I have 2 sons in this guide...one is half speed and the other is full speed. It has been very pleasant f...

Re: ? about SMARR
Ahh, yes...after I posted this I headed over to try and figure out Smarrs new website set up and finally figured it out. I noticed the title about agrarian tradition and wondered if this may be the case ( I know you had mentioned it previously but couldn't remember when it came in). I then went back...

? about SMARR
Hello ladies :D , We will be doing American Literature with my 11th grader starting in January. We used SMARRS intro to lit and loved it, though there were definitely some substitutions needed in the book choices (as Carrie points out). There were just some of Smarrs choices that did not fit our fam...

Re: DITHOR BOOK PLACEMENT?
I do not remember any phonics in the 2/3 book. I think in the teacher instructions there is a suggestion to do your own phonics program but no phonics anywhere in the book that i remember. I would say it depends on their reading level and also how much they mind writing. If I had a 4th grader that d...
