World Geography time
I know I've seen posts with approximate times for the various parts of each guide. Has anyone posted this for World Geography? Specifically, I would like to know how much time to estimate for history and how this compares to M2MM. I know that WG is high school level and M2MM is considered middle sch...

Re: High school credit
Thanks. Does anyone know where government was going to be? Is that in Early American or Late American?

High school credit
I know this has been talked about many times, but I can't seem to find it. On the HOD website, I found a very nice breakdown of the credits offered by the Geography guide. I know the other guides aren't done yet, but could someone post a link or something to credits that will probably be available i...

Re: Credits: MtMM for 9th through what I know about the WHG
We are using M2M this year for 10th grade and will be using it for DDs 9th grade in 2 years. You will also need to add to M2M if you want it to count as a government credit. I think there are posts that list some suggestions. We are doing Nobel Experiment which counts as 0.5 credit of government. I ...

Re: Credits: MtMM for 9th through what I know about the WHG
This is from the HOD website. If you click on the World Geography guide, it lists these credits and goes into detail on what would be included in each. World Geography (1 full credit) World Religion & Cultures (½ credit) Bible and Devotional Study (1 full credit) Logic (½ credit) English (1 full cre...

Art/Music
Looking ahead to DD's high school plan. She will be doing M2M, World Geography, World History, and the 1st American History. (Not totally sure what we will call M2M in the history category, but that's OK.) My question is about art/music credit. So far the guides have all had an art or music study. I...

Re: High school math
Thank you everyone for all your help. I really wouldn't say he didn't grasp Algebra. He did fine in it. This year he's doing Geometry so he uses basic algebra skills, but doesn't use much higher algebra (logarithms, etc), so I really can't say how much of Algebra 2 he remembers. If I could find one ...

Re: High school math
If I chose to review Algebra 2, how would that work on the transcript? Can't exactly put it down twice, and yet he wouldn't have enough credits to just leave it off. Wouldn't want him to do all the work of a whole year of math and not get any high school credit for it. Does that make sense?

High school math
My son is in 10th grade. He is using M2M with extension. We had always used Abeka for math up through 7th grade. Their next book was pre-algebra and VideoText says it covers pre-algebra, algebra, and algebra 2, so in 8th grade, we went ahead and started VideoText. DS completed their 2 year program (...

Re: 10th grade Lit
Oh thank you. I didn't realize that they would credit the guide back. I had thought about buying just the guide, but didn't want to miss out on the package deal and can't afford to buy the whole package right now. I'll have to give that some thought.

10th grade Lit
We are using M2M for 10th grade this year. I'm still unsure what to do for Lit. We've used Progeny Press in the past. I like these but occasionally find it difficult to discuss (or grade his answers) when I haven't read the book. Plus it sometimes feels a little hodge-podge -y (sorry, making up word...
