Re: Singapore Math textbooks

I have the same concerns as we are considering switching from Abeka to Singapore. I am a little nervous about not having the built in review/spiral approach....I'd love to hear more peoples responses. :)

Re: Spelling and Dictation for Bigger

Thanks Carrie! Those were excellent links and super helpful. I am learning that spelling dictation doesn't necessarily have to be difficult that they are mastering the words if they are spelling them each day. Thanks!

Re: Dissapointed with history book...???

Thank you so much for responding... momofgreatones- I appreciate your take on the matter and letting me know that part of the Child's History book is skipped. I know that I can easily skip it myself but I guess I like knowing that I am on the same page as HOD and their philosophy. I used Sonlight be...

Organizing books for Bigger and LHFG?? Ideas?

Hi, I've got 3 big boxes of HOD books, including DITHOR for 3 children- 1 in Bigger and 2 in LHFG. I would love to hear how others have organized their books. I am really trying to simplify. I have tried so many other curriculums and I have a LOT of books, most of which are on shelves in my basement...

Re: Guilt over not spending enough time with little ones!

I too can relate to this guilty feeling...I have also considered a video curriculum, but in my heart I know this is not what the Lord wants me to do at this time and pray He grants me the grace to continue on. I just wanted to recommend a book that I have found soooo helpful and plan on reading agai...

I feel much better about it now and enjoyed reading a link to Carries explanation of how she pairs CHOW with her other books to give a complete bibilical worldview. I am feeling much more comfortable with this choice. Thanks everyone f...
