Common Place Book for RTR & MTMM
Is a 5x7 lined journal with 160 pages big enough for the common place book in RTR & MTMM? Or, should I get something bigger, or with more pages?

Re: Not Learning Letters
My dd now 11 was a slow reader, and at 7 or 8 we did CLE's Learn to Read and she really took off with her reading. She loved it too. She struggled with math until we switched to CLE's math also.

Re: Placement for 6th and 8th
Thanks 8arrows,
We have decided to use HOD science. It looks really good, and I think my kids will enjoy it much more.

Placement for 6th and 8th
Hello, I am planning on ordering HOD for my 6th and 8th grader this upcoming year. I just want to double check and see if I have them placed into the right guides. For my 6th grader....she just turned 11, and I was thinking of Resurrection to Reformation. She reads well. This past year the hardest c...

Singapore math ?
I am considering switching our math to Singapore math. Does HOD make teaching Singapore easy? Teaching math is not my strong point. I think I am better at it than I think, I am just not self confident in explaining things right. Also, does HOD Preparing and on give math helps like the younger guides...

Re: Independant work with more than one student?
Thank you all for your replies, they were very helpful. I have another question, do you oversee your children while they were doing their independent work? Or do you just let them go off and do it, and trust that they read the assignment and understood what they read?

Re: Independant work with more than one student?
No one has ever had to have two children share a manual to do independent work?

Independant work with more than one student?
I see in older programs the amount of independent work increases. The student will need the Teachers Manual daily to see what they are suppose to do. If you have more than one student doing the same program, how do you have your students share the TM throughout the day?

HOD Bigger Activities?
Can anyone give me some examples of the activities in HOD Bigger? We like activities that include making things, coloring, drawing, notebooking etc. I don't really care for doing things such as acting, pushups, jumping around on a circle on the floor. Does it sound like I will like HOD activities?

Re: Beyond or Bigger?
It says Preparing is for 8-10 year olds. We would be done with Bigger in January, and my dd will only be 7 then. So, she would probably not be ready for Preparing yet. Should I do Beyond with them both, or should I do Beyond with my dd and Bigger with my ds?
