Re: How do you "enforce" the schedule with 3-5 year olds?
Use a digital kitchen timer for each child. That way the 15 or 20 minutes they are required to do their activities won't seem like the hours of miserable eternity  To a child sitting at a table playing quietly alone, and others in the living room they most likely feel like they are missing out ...

Correct you need a storytime set, as well as either the DITHOR set or the emerging readers for independent reading.

Re: Foreign Language?? Help please
I love teaching ASL(am sign lang). I love the Signing time curriculum. You can get the entire classroom set with lesson plans, ws, cds and dvds for 299. However if that is out of your price range you can find worksheets on line for free and youtube has many teaching videos(incl some signing time vid...

Kindergarten Graduation
This week is our last of LHFHG K. My daughter had grown so much. It was just in January, I was celebrating the reading of her first word Cat. Two nights ago she read Dr. Suess' Green Eggs and Ham (with a little help) :D Thank you HOD for such a spectacular year. We are repeating LHFHG with 1st grade...

Re: 2012 conference schedule?
I would love to know if Carrie or Julie will be bringing HOD to the Fl conference again, and if so when. My District FPEA leader spoke with Carrie by phone, but do to the busy-ness of the graduation ceremony that took place she missed meeting Carrie. I hope that she and I both get a chance to meet C...

Re: Is it just me?
I plan and replan every couple of months before our order days in December each year. I am a big budgeter, so planning helps me see how much we need to put back for the upcomng curriculums each year. Plus its like windowshopping the best book store ever!!!

Re: Art Supplies
I went to a few yard sales and picked up old national geographics for .25 each. I would ask people in your church if they have 4-6 they could donate. I then went through and removed any inappropriate pics(say the South American woman with no top, or the wolf devouring a baby deer(although my daughte...

My evaluator for my county litterally said she would accept our HOD guide as our curriculum proof, the list of workbooks and just a few sheets of work and that is it . I just had to give a start and end date Thank you HOD.

Re: Homeschool Dads :)
I run an at home daycare which prevents me from leaving my home. My husband on his days off will take our daughter to all of her 4H or Horse riding meetings, field trips, even doctor visits. I would be lost without him
