Re: 19 month LHTH

Hello all! My little boy is 22 months and every morning I do a bit of LHTH. Here is what is working as to right now: When he is eating breakfast, I sing the weekly song, read the daily bible reading (from the toddler bible rec'd), and show the letter and number of the week. The suggested readings fr...

Re: LHTH, for a K4?

Each day has about six boxes of activities. These activities vary not only in subject area, but ability. I am using it with my 19 month old, but we just do the bible reading, music, and letter of the week. VERY LIGHT. However, if he were 4, we would be doing more boxes and it would still work. It's ...

Thank you Carrie for your encouragement!
I really enjoy what you have created. I love all of the boxes, I can just pick and choose the ones that fit him now and then next year, we just add to it. WHAT could possibly be easier??? :D :D :D :D :D

19 month LHTH

I started using my LHTH guide! Yes, he's only 19 months but here is how I've integrated it so far and I'm so impressed! I said the finger play and he copied "AH AH ADAM!" WOW! Then, I had some alphabet magnets and we searched for "A" Then, every morning during his playpen time, we listen to the CD ...

Re: Charlotte Mason

Awesome, thanks.
It doesn't really come out and say Charlotte Mason, but I love the philosophy. I'm still learning about it all.
I really LOVE the focus on Christ and music. I'm a music teacher so anything involving music is right up my alley!

Re: O/T - songs to sing solo in church

Check out www.halleonard.com
they have all kinds of Christian songbooks - both Southern Gospel, Traditional Hymns, and Contemporary. Do you have a local Christian bookstore? They often have soundtracks to tons of music as well.

Re: Using LHTH for my 3 year old and 5 year old

I took the plunge as well! I'm going to start it, even if just the music and a bible story with my 19 month old. I like that I can cycle it around again and again and just pick up more stuff.

Re: First time using Little Hands to Heaven

I am looking at the package deal. I'll have more time wth him this summer and now that he is 18 months I hope he'll get something out of it. He's so busy and I know don't know how much he would absorb of it right now.

Re: Curriculum pet peeves - Sorry, I just can't relate!

To quote one of the songs on "Hide Em In Your Heart" by Steven Green..
A joyful heart is good medicine but a broken spirit dries up the bones.

OK - you know it's good when I'm recalling verses from this CD!
