Re: Any advice would be nice!

Thanks Julie. Those are some very good ideas that I will try! I just have to keep reminding myself that things will work out :) Sometimes I feel bad because I'm afraid its me not explaining it right or something, and I don't want her to fall behind on account of me. It does help to know theres other...

Any advice would be nice!

Ok...so we are starting on Unit 8 this week. The first few weeks went great, well other than my dd not caring for the writing part, but that passed and she is now ok with that :) What the trouble now is - when we are reading in History, or doing our bible verses, its like shes staring right through ...

Question about Beyond & Morning Bells

In Beyond it has to read pgs 64-66. I couldn't find the book with just Morning Bells, so I got the one with Little Pillows and Morning Bells. I guess the page numbers are different, because, it isn't matching up?? Does anyone else have this book and make it work?
Thanks!

Our First week of Beyond...

Hello everyone. I said I would tell about our first week so here I am. The first two days were kinda different :) I think my dd was waiting for me to spring with all the work we were doing before. The last couple days she has seemed to relax and believe we are trying something new..lol All my kiddos...

My Beyond Little Hearts Came Today

I've been looking at this book for about the last hour, and I have to say I love it already! There's so much fun stuff to do. I really think my kiddos are going to enjoy it. I can't wait to start next week. I'll be sure to write my review!!
Thanks Carrie!

Re: Buying Books??

I was wondering the same thing. But in the end I went with just buying the books. I think it will be easier for us, since I have 1 little one and my son is a special needs child, and for me it's not easy taking them everywhere all the time :) But I do understand the money issue, trust me:)

Re: Need some advice.....off topic question about Christmas

We do "believe" in Santa at our home. My husband and I agree it's a fun part of growing up. We also agree if our children ever come out and ask if he is real, we would not lie to them. We do stress each year what the true meaning of christmas is. We even have Jesus a b-day party and the kids just lo...

Re: Let's share our schedules!

I'll have to get back with you once we get our HOD books and get into it. But what we have been doing is starting school at 9:00am. I've been letting my ds and dd pick which subjects we do 1st, 2nd etc. I've come to find that helped a bit because they got to "pick" what they wanted to do. I'm thinki...

Re: Do you follow a "school Year" or your own?

I start school in the mid to end of July and go thru 1st week of June. My son has alot of appointments and I figure those days as off days, so it takes us alittle longer to complete our "school year". I have thought about starting a new year in January instead of July..but I just haven't done it yet...

Re: Just Ordered Beyond!!! :)

Hi Julie and thanks for the welcome. :) I'm hoping the kiddos enjoy it. What we are using now isn't working out to well. I have to say I haven't had my children ask to do school on the weekends, so I think that has to mean something :D
