also keep in mind, he's a boy. Biologically,he's not wired to be very eloquent. Of course there are exceptions but for the most part boys tend to keep things short and sweet. I would just be thankful he has a clear grasp of the information.

my oldest son,now 20, loved these books when he was young and even took them with him when he left home so I have to borrow them for my youngest. They are great for fueling a love of history without the "dryness" of historical facts.

one mom I knew went year round and once a month took a 4 day weekend and took the whole month of december and July. It gave them a break without disrupting the "flow" I found that I'm costantly tweaking my system to find the one that works for us without throwing us off track or getting burn out.
