Teacher Manual helpful for R&S 2?
Do you find the Teacher Manual helpful for Rod and Staff 2? Also, I'll be having 3 kiddos using it -- do I need to order 3 textbooks? I know that it is recommended that most of it be done orally so thinking I wouldn't need copies for each of them? Thanks!

Re: Considering coming back to HOD - down syndrome
I have also been using HOD with my daughter that has Down Syndrome (she is 10). This year, my twin girls are in Kindergarten so I combined them all for the "Left Side" plans and Storytime in LHFHG. She is almost finished with the Emerging Readers and she is also reading many of the supplementary tit...

Re: Beyond or Bigger over 2 years?
Thanks for your suggestions. I suppose we could do Beyond and Bigger full speed and do Preparing 1/2 speed when we get to it as well..so many options! I think I'm trying too hard to figure things out right now...I need to remember to take things one year at a time

Beyond or Bigger over 2 years?
My twin girls are 5 (soon to be 6) and will be finishing up LHFHG in May. We plan to start Beyond (1st grade) in the fall. Doing one guide per year, they would be doing Bigger for 2nd and Preparing for 3rd (so younger range of the guides). If I want to slow down so that they are doing Preparing in 4...

Re: Our son w/DS is loving LHTH!!!
Yeah! I absolutely love how LHTH takes our kiddos through the Bible. Not only do they learn academic preschool skills but, more importantly, God's Word is being planted in their hearts! Thank you for sharing about your successful first week!

Re: Re-Intro & Using HOD for children with Down syndrome
Hello mommyofmany! I am using HOD for my daugther that has Down Syndrome. WE LOVE IT!! She is 9 years old and we are doing the "Left Side" of LHFHG this year as well as the Emerging Readers and Spelling List 2 from Beyond. I also have her do a phonics worksheet (or 2) from Explode the Code or other ...

Repeating LHTH
Could those of you who have repeated LHTH explain exactly how you've done it? My plan was to start LHFHG half speed (left side) with my 4 year old twins but after reviewing the materials, I'm thinking that I might wait one more year so they can get more out of the readings. I'm thinking at this poin...

TRL vs. A Beka K4
I posted this same question on another forum and I thought I'd go ahead and ask it here as well since everyone here is so helpful! I am trying to decide whether to do ABeka K4 phonics or TRL this fall with my 4 year old twin daughters. They will be finishing up LHTH next month so they know their let...

Re: Singapore 1A/1B
That's exactly what I needed to know. My daughter has Down Syndrome and I'm thinking she may need more (but not more difficult) practice than what the 1A/1B workbooks alone offer. We've been using Math U See but after seeing the way the lessons are written in the Beyond manual I think we'll give the...

Singapore 1A/1B
Does anyone know the difference between the Intensive Practice and Extra Practice workbooks? I've seen both and was wondering what the difference is. Also, does anyone have any experience with them and what was your experience?
Thank you!

Big thoughts for little people
I already have the 1983 edition of Big Thoughts for Little People - do I need the newer one? Is it just the pictures that are different or has some of the content changed as well?

Re: ETC with The Reading Lesson
I thought of one more question -- do you just do the workbook pages or do you do all the activities listed in the teacher's guide as well?
