I see there is a schedule for the emerging reader books in Beyond and the appendix of Bigger. What does this exactly entail? Is it basically an easier version of DITHOR or does it just schedule out the books and include comprehension questions re: the books?
Thanks!

Preparing to Build Consumable?
Is the Preparing to Build text consumable? I'd like to be able to write in it, if possible, although I realize that would mean buying two texts for my DS and DD.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thanks, 8arrows and WigglesMom. That's a good idea about adding the history book in the extension pack as a read aloud!

Re: My son has autism what do I do now?
Sheila, I'll be praying for you and your family as you navigate through this. There is a website I've come across in the past that may be of interest to you. http://homepage.mac.com/crysnrob/index.html His name is Robert and he is autistic. I believe he has Aspergers, but I might be wrong. Anyway, I...

If you could only choose one US history program . . .
Which one would you choose? Beyond or Bigger? I know they both come at it from different angles - stories vs. biographies. We did US history last year starting with the explorers and ending with the Pilgrims sailing on the Mayflower. I can't even remember if we read about them landing. My mai...

Re: Decided against TOG, now questions on HOD placement
Thanks Sharon, 8arrows, and Julie. I think I've got a good plan for the next year with Bigger and LHFHG. HOD sounds great!!! Sharon, I love It's a Wonderful Life, too! We watch it every year. I even almost named my little girl Zuzu, but when I was pregnant with her, we met and became friends with a ...

Decided against TOG, now questions on HOD placement
Hi Everyone, I am new here and have some questions regarding HOD. First, my background: I have four kids - DS will be 9 in Aug. Reads okay - probably around a 2nd grade level. He sees a tutor each week to help with reading and has improved a lot. DD will be 7 in Aug. Great reader, very fluent - read...
