confused on the IEW (Medieval Writing Lessons) symbols
I'm a bit confused on the Sample Key Word Outline for the first lesson. I mean I *get* it, but this is ABSOLUTELY new to me. I don't remember making outlines like this. Am I supposed to *know* this stuff or do I just wing it?

Thank you Anita - great ideas! We are going the college route - College Plus actually. He wants to be a History Professor. We just talked about Liberty today, actually. R&S English for high school
My son will be in 9th grade this year and his Grammar background is scattered. He has done some of R&S 5 but not a whole lot and did struggle through it.
Would it be ridiculous to use R&S 5 for English 1 in high school?
Thanks

Re: Grammar besides R&S
I tried to use 4 with my then 10 yo last year and we probably could have kept going. My then 13 yo was using 5 and it was just too much. It does take more time with me and maybe that's what was difficult. Balancing it all. I'll look at 3 and 4 again. I'll probably go with easy grammar ultimate for m...

CtC or RTR?
Last year we started off the year with creation to Christ. We only did it for a few weeks when I kind of had a difficult time with my oldest son and his schooling (which was nothing new) and we ended up ditching everything and going to textbooks for the year. We now have a plan for outlr oldest son ...

I have 5 children - 13 yo not using HOD, but almost completely on his own, 10 yo using CTC, 5 yo and 3 yo using Little Hands plus 2 other things for my 5 yo to make LHTH a "kindergarten" curriculum, and I have a 17 month old that is pretty "needy". I'm sure that my problem is just self-discipline, b...
