Re: Please share what you do with your toddlers while teaching.
My kids each have their own crate for their school books and workbox (including my 3yoa girl). At the beginning of the year she had "stuff" like the rest of them and when those books, puzzles, etc. . . got boring she would go play or I would pull out some art supplies. I also rotating things in her ...

Re: OT-help/suggestions for helping son get over fears
Individual story time and prayer with Dad before bed would be very helpful. If not Dad then you. Please continue to be honest about fears and monsters (demons do exist, but tiny compared to angels and nats compared to God) and PRAY. Pray over his room and fears with and without him. Play Christian m...

4th grade reading package?
I found the girl's interest book pack on page 58 of the catalog. It would be perfect for my 4th grader. Where does it fit into the Prepare reading program? As long as I am asking: I am planning to do Beyond with my 1st grade girl and 2nd grade boy. In the deluxe package could he read the boy interes...

I think I want to use Beyond but will get the grammar from Bigger for my 2nd grader and 2nd grade mat...

Re: New, needing tips
Julie, I'm way down here! The editing is getting the initial info too long, but I can edit more here. I hope I answered your questions; I don't have a teaching background. 6 yoa --Beyond; listens to stories well with or without pictures; finished phonics and able to read emergent reader books; knows...

Re: New, needing tips
If it works out with the placement guide, is it possible to pair up the oldest two and youngest two? Then you can simplify your day and he kids each have a partner to learn with. No. I hope ya'll will find my edits in the original texts. I can't pair the younger two; well, I don't think so. One is a...

New, needing tips
After two years of home schooling, I am ready to branch out from ABeka and am thrilled to have found your program (via Patti --thank you!). I am planning to get the material for my preschool (Sorry -- I did have Little Hands for His Glory marked in my book) and 4th grade (Preparing Hearts for His Gl...
