The funniest part is that I think my 9 yr. old dh loves the Little Hearts rhymes, songs and fun even more than my ds! She really gets into it and begs for repeats! I am so thankful for her enthusiasm. She gets all of us excited about the lessons for the day.

We have decied to go with Preparing Hearts and Little Hearts. This was our first week. We just made a big move and took an early break and now that we are settled can get back to work. So which reading program do you suggest. I wouldn't know how to pick between the Reading Made Easy and the The Reading Lesson. They seem similair-but which works for a ds that thinks reading is toooooo hard to try much (because of how it's gone so far!)

He mainly writes individual words still. He can do a sentence but it does take time and it is not super controlled yet. I'm not sure how to answer the spelling/ dictating part. Ahhhh----we love finger plays . . . finger plays are usually little rhymes or catchy tunes or poems acted out with your fingers -for example "Here is the church, here is the steeple, open the doors and see all the people . . . close the doors, hear them pray, open the doors and the all walk away" so...
