Re: Needing direction in getting going with HOD....
quote="MommyInTraining"] I ONLY did selective bits and pieces of the program and added on SLOWLY. Personally, I would drop everything with the exception of Beyond's Devotions at the breakfast or right after, History reading to start your day and Story time during naptime OR just before bedtime afte...

Needing direction in getting going with HOD....
This was a quote from me on a previous post: I am having trouble trying to stick to my MOTH schedule. I guess I filled my schedule too full and it felt too overwhelming. I have so much I want to accomplish and if I don't feel like I am get it all into the schedule then I feel like I am failing. But,...

Singapore Question...
Last year I had started my ds (who is currently 8 (9 in May) )in Singapore 1A. He didn't really seem to be grasping it very well and we put it aside. For this year I ordered the Kindergarten 2A and 2B package from HOD for my him and my 6yo dd. He just finished those up and my 6yo also has only a few...

If you want to stay with a workbook approach I would recommend the Singapore K set that HOD sells.

Re: Schedule or routine, which do you prefer and why?
Thanks ladies.
It seems like the vote goes to routine.
But, I don't really know how to turn my already made schedule into a routine .
Do I just take the times away and still go in the same order?
I would love to hear any resources you used for coming up with your routines!

Schedule or routine, which do you prefer and why?
I am having trouble trying to stick to my MOTH schedule. I think part of my problem is that I need more of a routine instead of a schedule. The times are driving me up the wall. I don't like knowing that I have to be doing such and such at 10:15 when the newborn wakes up from a nap, the toddler has ...

Re: Introduction
Welcome Dawn! I know you said you were looking for something for next year. But, I was wondering if you had considered Little Hands to Heaven for the time being? It is a gentle program and lots fun and memory making time for the little ones. Just a thought! Blessings to you and I hope to talk with y...

Carrie...folding 10yo dd into Beyond History question
Per what we discussed earlier in the year, I scheduled my 10 yo dd to do Beyond History and the right side of Preparing. After we attempted to go through the schedule today, I realized that there is not a Beyond history activity for every day. That, for several days, it is replaced with a science ex...

The Singing Bible for Little Hands...tape or cd?
We have the Singing Bible on tape and I just don't think it sounds very good. Could it be the quality of the tapes? Has anyone ever tried both and found that they like the cd's much better?
I am wondering if I should try the cd's to see if they work better.
Thanks!

Carrie--? about using the teacher's guide for Rod and Staff
We have started Rod and Staff book 3 and I did purchase the TM. However, I was wondering if you recommend doing the additional exercises that are listed in the TM, or do you suggest just sticking to the actual lessons in the student book and just using the TM mainly for the answer key? Thanks for an...

Carrie, how are you all doing?
Hi Carrie,
I was wondering how little Beau and the rest of your family is doing.
I hope that you are all recovering well. Please let us know if you have any prayer needs.
