Re: Using Beyond w/ ...

Hi, Ladies~ Ds 6 will be starting K. For everything, he places in LHFHG. Dd 8 will be starting gr 2. She places in both Beyond and Bigger. She's an emerging reader but is finishing up w/ some phonics. She has been asking to learn cursive and is ready for it. Grammar is borderline - I think she could...

Using Beyond w/ ...

I was wondering if anyone has used Beyond w/ their dc in K and 2? I'm trying to combine and this would be the program right between them. Should I go this way, use LHFHG, or use Bigger? (FYI - I have everything but the reading pkgs for the first 2 programs and a few of the books for Bigger.)

Thanks, Mary. I guess I may have to use the 4/5 for my oldest first. Has anyone used these after CLE?

I am looking forward to the catalog. I haven't received it yet. How long should I wait? (I'm in Northern New England.)

combining DITHOR

Hi~ I haven't been here in a while, I'm trying to cut beck my computer time.  I am looking at DITHOR for ds in gr 7 next yr. I will have another ds in gr 5. Could he use the 6/7/8 pkg, too? What's the difference between the Student Books for gr 4/5 and 6/7/8? I am also thinking about ge...

I'm not sure of what you are using for Phonics/learning to read for your ds but you could just continue w/ that until he is more sure of himself. If you are looking for some more practice or for something else to use that would be new, here are some thoughts. The Reading Lesson, just the book, could...

what would I need...

I am contemplating Preparing for my ds who will be in gr 5. I will be using R+S English gr 4 already so that would be covered. My question is more about the History/Science that I would need to get. I'm not completely sure of what I will need for pkgs. Can you tell me specifically which ones I would...

I am in absolute LOVE w/ R+S, but I am going to try Singapore w/ my youngest next yr. I am using R+S w/ my oldest 2 dss now and won't be switching them until I have to. We tried TT (PreAlgebra) and it was just not a good fit. I am also not as impressed as I thought I would/should be. I started dd in...

Hi, Susie~ I have R+S because I wasn't sure I was going to use it or not. I might still but we will see. I was very nervous about teaching dd to read this yr. I have NO problems going through Calculus or Chemistry/Physics in HS but this foundational step was throwing me into all kinds of loops! :oop...

DITHOR - the Project Book

Is the book consumable? Or can I copy it for my family like the Student books?

Can anyone give me some ideas about what this covers? How does it complement the SB?

(I can't seem to see any samples.)

It is a CD that is used in your computer. Both my littles have enjoyed doing the first lesson and dd did the 2nd.

She just did some of the pages for Daddy when he got home from work and she did well. So she is retaining. We will see if she can retain it for more than a few hours tomorrow.

YEAH!!! It's working!

I just started The Reading Lesson. Dd has been ready but we have had a hard time finding something that really helps it "click". I put the CD in and she watched the lesson. Then we did the lesson in the book. She already knows all her letters and their sounds so I figured we would go right along for...
