Re: Memory verses for Bigger hearts
We are still in Beyond. But I had my children highlight the memory verses in their own Bibles this year and they loved it. I noticed that they are becoming more and more familiar with the Bible (i.e. Old/New Testements, Books, Chapters, Verses). I encourage everyone to try to do this. I cannot wait ...

Re: Beyond->other->Preparing
I feel the same way about God leading us to HOD at the right time. We tried Little Hearts and we were not successful, due to my own fault of not knowing how to place my children. (One was ready and one was not.) So we just used the suggested materials. But I told every about it, especially new homes...

Re: Beyond->other->Preparing
Thanks for that website info, I'll have to check it out. As far as what materials that i'll be using...I'm not 100% sure yet. I have a friend who has MFW EC&C. I will probably use the Window on the World, Hero Tales Vol. 1, Global Art, Wee Sing Around the World CD, and Ywam Missionary Biography Book...

Re: Beyond->other->Preparing
Thanks everyone for the tips.:) I think that I will still do a Countries and Culture study but just as an add on instead of replacing Bigger. I don't want to loose a year of HOD. I do understand that geography is throughout HOD's studies, which I LOVE, but I want to focus on the culture of each coun...

Re: Beyond->other->Preparing
I like some of the materials that MFW uses. (Window on the World, Global Art, Hero Tales, Ywam books.) But my plan is to create my own but format it like Carrie's TM. I like the flow that she does. We are starting DITHOR in Sept. and we will be reading the Ywam Missionary books for our storytime.

Beyond->other->Preparing
We just began Beyond, and LOVE it! I am planning for the next school year because we will be starting in February. Last school year we did Early American History with Beautiful Feet Books, which took us up to Buffalo Bill. Like I said, we are currently doing Beyond. But next year I want to do a Coun...

Re: Geography Questions - Now and Future Guides?
I have this same question! I am struggling with what to do next year. Either take a year off and do a World Geography program or skip it and wait to see if Carries comes out with something. I may end up making my own and format it like Carrie's manuels because there is nothing out there that I like....

Re: Bigger calendar in a weekly format? is there one>
I loved the LHFHG but I cannot open the Beyond list. Is there another format that I can open it with. We are starting Beyond on May 4th and I know that this would be very helpful. Thank you for sharing it with all of us! It's AWESOME!

HOD and High School
My aunt has a 13 and 15 yrd old that she will be homeschooling next year. She wants to do the CTC with the 13 yr old. Can she include the 15 yr old? And would she be able to count it as a high school credit for World History? Also, will there be any Biology in the future that can be counted as a hig...

Re: HOD or BJU?
Thank you ladies and Carrie so much. I think that I will keep with the BJU Math and English with both my dds. But I will do HOD with my 6yr old dd along with the HOD Language Arts and Math. Here's one more question: If I were to decided to change to R&S English for my dd who will be entering 3rd gra...

HOD or BJU?
I am new to HOD. My dd (8yrs old) does BJU Math, English and Reading. (She learned how to read with RME but when she got into 2nd grade I had her start reading BJU reader and do the worktext.) We love BJU. She does very well with it. But I really like HOD's style. Should I take her out of BJU, shoul...
