Reading Made Easy

Have you used it, and if so, how did you like it?
i think the format would work well with my 1st grader. I used Ordinary Parent's Guide with my other child, and it worked for him, but i don't know it would suit my daughter as well. anyone that could compare/contrast the two programs? thanks!

I will be using Beyond with my 1st and 3rd graders this coming year. The past two years my son has done FLL. My question is, would that transition better into R&S 2 or 3? I'm planning on doing Beyond this school year with my 1st and 3rd grader, but will be using the LA part of Bigger for my 3rd grader. I keep going back and forth between what to do for English, and would love any thoughts. He has done FLL the past two years. I am torn on doing R&S 2 or FLL 3 with him...

Thanks for the lengthy reply. It answered many of my questions. I did have a chance to look at the placement chart, and would say my daughter would fall into Beyond - finishing phonics, able to read simple short stories, spell 3-4 letter words, and knows upper and lowercase letters.
