? about copying poetry in Beyond
This may be a silly question, but when copying the poems, are they supposed to indent if the poetry line is?

Re: Lessons I learned
I bought Beyond for dd(7) and then decided to go down to LHFHG for 1st. My decision was again confirmed today when I was browsing the Beyond guide. It would have been difficult for her this year. We're finishing the left side last 11 units of LHFHG at a slower pace for this entire year. I just thin...

?'s about the Emerging Readers schedule
How does this work? I'm assuming the schedule gives you a certain number of pages to have the child read? Is there a list of questions to ask afterwards? If so, are there possible answers listed? Just trying to get an idea of how the schedule works.

Re: Keeping child's attention during reading
We have a reading corner with lot's cushions and a soft rug. My 3 children like to just lay around and play with these squishy balls that I got each one of them. Made a HUGE difference.

Re: OT: easy, healthy lunches for picky kids?
I already replied to this thread, but don't know where it went? :? Keeping frozen batches of muffins is great for the kid's to just have something quick and filling. Flatbread with tomato sauce, spinach, mushrooms and feta cheese heated in the oven is also good and easy. That's what we're having tod...

Re: Math woes
Have you tried CLE math? You could order a free light unit and see how that goes. I think there are placement tests to see where your child would be. That program gets GREAT reviews.

Re: How many pages for Storytime?
Thank you for your suggestions.
So does the Beyond guide give you specific questions to ask for EVERY book from the Boy, Girl & Classic selections, depending on what you choose??? I'm still trying to figure this all out.

How many pages for Storytime?
We're finishing up the last 12 weeks for the left side of LHFHG. I recently ordered the Classic, Boy & Girl Interest books from HOD, and we started reading A Bear Called Paddington today. How many pages should I read for storytime with 1st & 2nd graders? We'll be starting Beyond after we finish LHFH...
