Re: Little Hands to Heaven Question...

I've just started LHTH. I plan on stretching it 2 years as well. My daughter is 3. I do "school" 5 days a week, but I only do LHTH every other day. On the in between days, I use fillers that relate to what we're learning in LHTH. For example, we started Unit 2 yesterday (The Flood), so we did Unit ...

I'm in NC, but I'm not in the Charlotte area or I would! I'm about 45 min.-1 hour away. :(

Re: Trying hard to be nice on other forums when it comes to HOD!

I'm not really a member of any other homeschooling forums yet. I did join one last week, but I havent' checked into much. There weren't any other people using HOD there that I could tell, but I too, so far would give a glowing review! :D

Re: I don't see many

Yay! I'm so glad there are others doing this now, so I have some others on the same journey as I'm on right now!

We've just completed Unit 1, and we've had so much fun, I look forward to doing the rest of the book already.

OT-This happened very close to me, and has me worried.

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=91397 As a new homeschooler, this makes me discouraged that I will not have the right to choose what's best for my own children. It is especially disheartening that the judge ordered a psychological evaluation for this woman just because of...

Re: Week In Review 3-5-09

Makeup? What's that? lol. I pretty much only put it on when we go to church on Sundays. lol. I do try to get up and dressed before we do school time, but sometimes, depending on how busy, or ahem, lazy, I am in the morning that could mean first thing or noon. Here's our week at my blog: http://reach...

Re: Week In Review 2-26-09

Thanks everyone! I'm just so thrilled that Gabby took to it as well as she did, seeing that she has no prior schooling/daycare or anything. I'm just really excited to see what else LHTH has in store for us!

Re: Week In Review 2-26-09

Hello all! This was my very first week of homeschooling...ever! I was so excited to start though! We didn't begin until Wednesday because we were still waiting on our Big Thoughts for Little People book to come in the mail. I've decided to do LHTH every other day and then fill in the other days with...

LHTH question

If you do/did LHTH, did you do it five days a week or less? I orginally planned on only doing MWF, but my daughter loves it so much, I'm thinking about going on and doing a five day week, since the lessons don't take very long at all. Also, if you finished LHTH before your child was 5, what curricul...

Re: Question about supplementary things for LHTH

Thanks for all of the suggestions everyone! I went and checked out The Beginners Bible Creation story movie from the library, picked up a few bible storybooks, and I'm looking into some coordination Veggietales episodes as well. I will check out that book as well my2guys! Today went fantastic! Thank...

Question about supplementary things for LHTH

I'm starting officially on Wed. with my 3y.o. daughter with LHTH. I have all the books recommended to go with it, but I was just wondering if anyone who has done this curriculum had suggestions for other supplementary or additional items to go along with it if I wanted to expand a lesson? I picked u...
