Thank you, Mbrand. It's nice to know that I'm not alone
Now I just neeed to figure out the 12 year old....weak writer and lacks independence. My 15 year old daughter is pretty independent, so I see her doing well in the Highschool courses.

Re: Coming Back to HOD
Can you 9yo read comfortably it is it something you are still working on (fluency, stamina, etc)? If reading is still something he isn't ready to do alone, I would do Bigger with him. Preparing they read their own sconce and some history, and it somewhat sounds like he isn't ready for that. For the...

Re: Awards for 2015
Congratulations! These are well deserved awards! HOD is making a huge difference in the way we home-school. We are no longer having to skip fun things just to cover the basics. I love the way that HOD makes it possible to accomplish the three R's along with everything else!!! Most of all my kids are...

How should I start?
Hello Everyone! After 4 years of working full time and my kids being in PS, I am happy to be home and homeschooling three out of my five children again :D I used HOD PHFHG, LHFHG, and LHTH 5 years ago before I went to work full time. I remember that year fondly :) However, when we started homeschool...

I am pleased to announce that my 10 year old is doing wonderful in Preparing :D We had actually Purchased it last year and I gave up too quickly  , thinking it was just too much for him. We ended up just focusing on Language Arts and Math. Originally, I was going to order Bigger for him this y...

Re: History For Little Pilgrims:LHFHG
Oh Carrie, I was the one that was being careless by dropping it. It is great of you to offer to replace it, but I've already made some notes in it and I'm attached to it...LOL Thanks for your kindness, though! One more thing I love about HOD....great customer service...from the Author and her family!...

Re: History For Little Pilgrims:LHFHG
I had this happen to my Preparing Manual. I dropped it and the binding broke near the poem section. Now all of my poems are coming out one by one. I guess I'll have to have it re-bound
