Re: Emergent Reader Book Level
Is there a list of the alternate emergent readers books somewhere? I have kids in the later guides, and no longer own Beyond... however, I am tutoring some kiddos in reading, and would love to use the ER books and their alternates to supplement reading for these little ones.

Re: Question about future books...
Karen, I'm not sure yet whether Columbus and Sons may show up in a new guide at some point. If so, it would likely be in the early American history guide, which is several years away. Jesus, Our Savior and Friend is a wonderful study, but it is too young to be used in high school so we won't...

Question about future books...
Hi Carrie and Julie! I'm going through my bookshelves and decluttering as we prepare to move. I have the book "The World of Columbus and His Sons" by G. Foster, and was going to sell it... but then I realized we'll go through US History again in high school and wondered if you had tentative plans to...

Re: Let's share our schedules!
Oh! Carrie... I forgot to ask...
Would you mind posting your half-speed Bigger schedule? And if you have a full-speed Bigger (if it's any different from the 2007-2008 schedule) would you please post that as well?
Thank you!

Math in Focus (Singapore Style)
Hi Carrie, I'm curious what you think of this, and how it compares in your opinion to Singapore US or Singapore Standards Editions. We've only just started with Singapore, getting ready to move into book 1B (first grade). I was getting ready to order the next book, when MIF (Math in Focus) caught my...

Book Projects to Send Home
I know some of these books are out of print, but I like to at least try to get them used by searching paperbackswap, bookmooch, half.com, ebay, etc. I just got Grade 2 free on paperbackswap! :D I thought for sure I had seen a post somewhere that explained which Book Project grade level went with eac...

Re: Left-Handed child using spiral notebook?
Out of 7 children, we have 3 lefties. Two are grown, and have never complained about spiral notebooks....but certainly it is something to think about. My youngest ds is 5 and will be doing more handwriting this year. Currently I just print out pages for him to work on, but if the spiral on a noteboo...

Re: How do you start your school day?
We started last year with the Pledge of Allengience, God Bless America, a prayer/poem and then our calendar notebooks. Generally my daycare kiddo arrived about then and we would have a bit of recess, a snack and then back to HOD until lunch. After lunch we would do our storytime and then settle the ...

Re: Accountable Kids
I also have this program and use it with my ds5 and dd6. Our morning routine is now so smooth! They automatically get up, dressed, & make bed before coming to the table for breakfast! It is wonderful to go "check" their bedrooms, and find them neat and orderly. We are beginning to implement the "bon...

Other biography suggestions? DITHOR 2/3
I'm trying to get all my books from my library or paperbackswap to help save some $....The Amelia Earhart book is not available in my library and interlibrary loan in the state only has it in audio format...I am having a hard time getting my hands on this book. I wondered if someone could suggest so...
