Re: HOD vs BJU
talli1, This is basically what I do. I use BJU math and science with my son who is doing Beyond right now. The science is great in Beyond but my son is very math and science minded so I use the science in Beyond and also BJU's science because we have the distance learning videos with it. BJU's phoni...

Re: Spiral Bound Teacher's Manual?
RuthAnn, I would try a Kinko's (FedEx) if you have one. That's where I have all mine done. No problems at all. I have almost all of my TM's spiral bound and front and back covers laminated. They hold up fabulously and it's so nice to be able to fold one side back. My son always asks me to have them ...

Re: follow-up for Bible Study in RTR
I'm really glad I noticed this thread even if it's a few days late. I've been having some similar concerns about my son and Florence, it's sounds as if our sons are very similar. My son was (and still is in many ways) growing by leaps and bounds. He stays in our church service and was growing and le...

Re: Colonial Times? Which guide(s)?
I'm just bumping this up in the hopes that someone might have some information for me. Right now I only own RtR. So I can't really peruse the guides to see if I can put something together. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Colonial Times? Which guide(s)?
I am teaching in my sons Tutorial one day a week and next semester we are covering the Colonial Times. I don't like the sources that I've found up to this point and it hit me that I might be able to use one of the HOD guides to pull topics, reading, and activities from. My kids range in ages from K ...

Re: What should I do about math?
Thanks everyone. I'm going to get the EB books and go through those with him right now and use 1A,B next year with the Beyond activities for my younger son.
Now I just have to decide for my older son. I started a new thread for that one. Feel free to give your opinions on that one![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Am I crazy? Math again!
Ok ladies, I need some honest opinions on this. You might have read my other thread about math for my boys. Right now I'm trying to decide what to do with my older son. Here's what I'm thinking. My son is behind in math. Not struggling but behind. He's working very quickly through BJU 4th right now....

Re: What should I do about math?
After today I'm sure EB would be too easy. He saw my older sons Singapore placement test and was answering some questions off the 1A test and was answering right! I'm still trying to decide what to do with my older son too. So if I continue BJU K this year since I already have it, is it ok f...

What should I do about math?
Hi everyone, I'm coming to ask for help in deciding what to do with my boys for math. For the 5.5 year old we are waiting until his 1st grade year to do LHFHG  so this year I've been working with him using BJU K math and phonics. It's going well but I can't wait to start him into LHFHG next yea...

Re: advice on supplies needed
Laura, I just wanted to encourage you that it's ok to be on the older end of the age range for the guides. My son is on the older end and it's going well for him. I think you will find that HOD is much more meaty than first meets the eye, even in Preparing. I think that your daughter would be fine i...
