Re: Mixed emotions finishing LHTH....

I don't recall them being a part of the guide A little late in the game to answer: oops: 3 years later, but for each letter, I had my dd glue on something that started with that letter. I also had a file with all the letters, so it could look nicer for decora...

Re: Required State history??
Since my kids are all in their own guide and always do things separately, I decided to have all three of them do the state study together. It does not matter to me at all that one is going into Preparing, one in CTC. We do the state study on Friday, so we can add field trips, make State recip...

Re: "Genesis Finding our Roots" question
It is mostly orally. If there is any written work, I have my ds write on lined paper, and he adds it to the section in his binder.

First time doing Preparing my ds picked the accordion style and it worked out great. I had to help him put it together at first, but once he got the hang of it, he did a great job and it turned out as described. :D Current ds chose to put it on a door and we are surely going to run out of room. At t...

She's enjoying doing the program, we do it 4 times a week, together with ds 9, he reads level 4 books, but we did level 3 writing to get him used to DITHOR again after our long summer break! :!:...

Re: Beyond spelling with an *
My ds had some trouble in first grade with the spelling words toward the middle of the first list. I began to have him circle the special sounds and mark the vowels in the words on day 1 and have him sound out the the words. This helped him very well and he moved on to list 2 and now dictation and h...
