Re: (Preparing Question)Am I short changing my oldest by doing
Hi Julie, I generally look at our day and combine which subs I can and assign the rest independently. We have been combining a lot and I see everyone learning quite a bit. I do fill in with a ton of reading aloud. I do the skill areas individually but try to combine the content areas. I probably sho...

Re: Help me make up my mind...

I believe Carrie's choices are excellent but we already had programs that were working for us. It is absolutely no problem to substitut...

I didn't laminate mine either. I do not have a laminator and it would be too pricey for me.
I love that the cards are photocopiable if one gets ripped

Re: Thoughts on the new "ancient history" guide
Hi Holly,
someone please correct me if I am wrong. I believe Preparing is a sweeping overview of history and the next guide will start the 4 year cycle of studying history chronologically.
HTH,
Kari

Re: Why would I pick HOD over another curriculum?
Hello, I have 5 children 8 and under and HOD is very doable and rich. Of course I agree whole-heartedly with the counsel you have recieved to seek God and His will for you. Every family is different. Homeschooling does take time and effort, this year has been the best so far because the Lord has sho...

Quick reply
Can you do activites to strengthen his fine motor? Playdough ect. You could continue on and have him answer verbally or you can write the answers for him. He sounds like a sweet boy!
