Ladies, Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and encouragement! :D It is a privilege to share the homeschool journey with families like yours! Our goal in making changes is to make HOD even more user-friendly, accessible, and filled with living books that children will not only love, but that wi...

Re: Pilgrim's Progress Throughout the Years

Ladies, I am so excited that you are enjoying the varying levels of Pilgrim's Progress scheduled along the way in HOD! :D Other than the Bible, Pilgrim's Progress is one of the most important works for kiddos to immerse themselves in and read again and again. It is an allegory with so many layers th...

New Products: A Letter from Carrie

Hello Ladies! As we are hard at work on the new products and guide changes in 2025, I wanted to share a bit about my thinking behind these changes. :D First, I’ll give you a little background. We have had the privilege of using the HOD guides with our own 4 boys from preschool through high school. W...

Re: Copy the Classics Review - 5 Stars!

Hooray! :D I know I wish I had Copy the Classics when my boys were doing Beyond! :D It is just what I wanted the poetry copywork sessions to be. :D It steadily leads kiddos to write a bit more as the year progresses, shrinks the lines they write on (so shrinking their writing size), and eventually g...

Re: Paint with the Poets Review - 5 Stars!

Jaime, Thanks so much for sharing your joy with Paint Like Poet! Our son, Shaw, did the paintings and took the photos and it was truly a l-o-n-g labor of love. So much work went into this project, but we knew it would be worth it to families as it would make the painting much more independent, acces...

Re: Love Love Love the New Visual History Bookmark Set for Beyond!

Jaime, I somehow missed this, but I am so glad that you love the new Visual History Bookmarks. We loved creating them! My second oldest son Shaw did the artwork and the picture clues activities too. It is a blessing to work with him on these projects! :D Shaw did HOD all the way through high school ...

Re: Questions on new catalog and guide

Rebecca, These are great questions! :D We are finishing the catalog as we speak, as it needs to be at the printer this coming week. We saved press time for this catalog a year ago, so once we get through the proofing process and the presses get running it is just a matter of getting the addresses ch...

Re: Visual History Set for Beyond

I am thrilled you are excited about this new set! We are too! :D These are picture book read-alouds keyed to match the existing history books in Beyond! They are for the parent to read to their child. It is a cuddle on the couch reading set to bring the history to life for the kids. Readings are spr...

Re: Reading Made Easy vs. New Phonics Choices

Jaime, It sounds like your son could benefit from going through Learn to Read first. It is just a two page spread a day, and a very gentle introduction to hearing sounds in words, reading words, and then, at the very end reading some sentences. The transition from Learn to Read into Real Phonics is ...

Re: Sneak Peek: DITHOR 3/4 Boy and Girl Packs

Great question! Since the DITHR guide and Student Books work with any books, they will not be affected by the package changes. :D Families should be able to seamlessly use the new 3/4 girl and boy packs just like they used to use the old level two and level three packs for DITHR. :D Blessings, Carrie

Re: Sneak Peek: DITHOR 3/4 Boy and Girl Packs

Great questions! Yes, the new order is phonics, ER1, ER2, DITHR 3/4 Girl or Boy Set, and then the rest of the original DITHR packages. :D This new sequence will give kiddos another year to grow as readers prior to moving into the literary analysis and writing required in DITHR. It will encourage par...
