The 1st Two Days
Hello, I don't post much. But I read A TON of the great comments and questions here and they have helped me so much. We have been doing HOD for a while now (this will be our 6th year). It's still, after all this time, an ever changing plan (because we keep adding kids). But I'm truly, finally, excite...

Consumables for Preparing
I have already used Preparing with my older child and still have the full curriculum. So I just need to purchase the consumables for my next child.
I've gone through the list and all I see is Math? Is that right? Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Julia

Writing Program and R&S for RtR?
I am working on ordering our curriculum (RtR) for next year and I'm a little confused about the instruction on how to order the writing portion of the guide. R&S #4 - We have been doing CtC this year and already have the Building with Diligence. So I am under the assumption that we will finish the l...

Re: Multiple Children = Multiple Guides?
We are almost done with CTC and Beyond. We have 4 weeks left in each of the guides. I guess my fear is that the eldest wasn't as independent this year in CTC as I thought that she would be. She would skip over some of the instructions or just go really slow and I would have to keep spurring her alon...

Multiple Children = Multiple Guides?
Hello :) I am a long time HOD user. We were blessed to find it when we 1st started homeschooling and so it's all that we have used. As we progress through the guides (and more children are being born) I'm struggling with how many guides that we are using at one time. I really would love to combine s...

Est. Time for workboxes in Bigger
Hello, I have a 7 year old daughter who is in Bigger this year. We are slowly but surely getting more confident and quicker at the workload this year. But I am just wondering if anyone has any "times" for how long each box should take. I've been searching the forum and I saw the "times" that my3sons...

Re: Question about Bigger
Thanks for the ideas. I feel better knowing that other 7 year olds are finding that it's a lot too. I have been toying with taking it down to 1 page/ day. I'll have to think more heavily on that one. And I hadn't really thought about doing some of the writing for her, but that makes sense, at least ...

Question about Bigger
Hello, I have a question about Bigger. I have a 7 year old daughter and we've been doing Bigger for about 2 weeks. The workload seems like A LOT this year. We've done Heart of Dakota for Kindergarten and 1st grade and we have both loved it. We are still loving it this year, but the amount of work! W...

After a lot of thoughtful consideration (i.e. running back and forth between booths at the local home school conference), prayer, and talking with other home schoolers, I decided to try Little Hearts for His Glory for Kindergarten this year. My daughter and I both LOVE it. She loves that the big mot...
